AI Prompt Builder
Turn a task, audience and tone into a clear, structured prompt you can paste into any AI chat.
This tool builds your prompt in your browser using a fixed template. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
What the AI Prompt Builder does
The AI Prompt Builder turns a short description of a task into a clear, structured prompt that you can paste into any AI chat. You describe what you want to do, optionally say who it is for, then choose a tone — Friendly, Professional, Simple, Persuasive or Formal — and the shape you want the answer to take, such as a step-by-step guide, a bullet list, a short paragraph, an email draft, a checklist or a social media post. The tool then assembles your choices into a single prompt in your browser, using a fixed template. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, as the note under the tool explains.
When to use it
Use it when you know what you need but are not sure how to word the request — for example, when drafting an email, planning content, or asking an AI chat to explain something in a particular format. It is also a useful starting point if your first attempts give vague or unfocused answers, because stating the task, audience, tone and format up front leaves less for the chat tool to guess. For everyday requests, a short, specific task description works best, and the audience field can be left blank if it does not apply.
Example input and output
Example input: Task — Plan a week of social media posts for my bakery; Audience — Local customers; Tone — Friendly; Format — Bullet list. The tool produces a prompt along these lines: “You are a helpful assistant. Task: Plan a week of social media posts for my bakery. Audience: Local customers. Tone: Friendly. Please produce the result in this format: Bullet list.” The full result also adds simple rules, such as being clear and specific, using simple language, and not adding facts that were not given.
Limitations
The tool builds a prompt; it does not run the prompt or check the answer. The quality of the result still depends on the AI chat you paste it into and on how much detail you provide, so vague tasks can still produce vague answers. It also cannot add facts you have not supplied, and it will not know about events, prices or other details that are not in your input. Always check important facts in the answer you receive before relying on them.
