AI Video Prompt Builder

Turn an idea into a clear video prompt with scene, movement, style and duration.

This tool assembles your video prompt in your browser from your choices. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

What the AI Video Prompt Builder does

The AI Video Prompt Builder turns an idea into a clear video prompt with scene, movement, style and duration. You start with your video idea, optionally add a scene, then choose a camera movement — Static camera, Slow pan, Zoom in, Tracking shot or Drone view — a style, such as Cinematic, Documentary, Animated, Realistic or Social-media short, and a duration of 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds. The tool then assembles those choices into a single prompt in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, as the note under the tool explains.

When to use it

Use it when you have a clip in mind but a one-line description leaves out how the camera should move, what style the video should have, or how long it should run. Naming the movement and duration up front is especially useful for short social clips, where a few seconds of the wrong framing can change the whole result, and for longer cinematic clips, where the scene needs to be set clearly. For an example of what AI-generated video can look like in practice, see Fully AI-Generated British Sitcom: What Is No Big Deal?. For a still image rather than a video, use the AI Image Prompt Builder instead.

Example input and output

Example input: Video idea — A morning routine in a small mountain town; Scene — Quiet streets, sunrise, a bakery opening; Camera movement — Slow pan; Style — Cinematic; Duration — 10 seconds. The tool produces this prompt: “Video idea: A morning routine in a small mountain town. Scene: Quiet streets, sunrise, a bakery opening. Camera movement: Slow pan. Style: Cinematic. Duration: 10 seconds. Make it smooth, clear and focused on the main subject.” You can copy that result and paste it into the video generator of your choice.

Limitations

The tool builds a prompt; it does not create a video itself. The finished clip still depends on the video generator you paste the prompt into, and different generators interpret camera movement, style and duration differently — a duration in the prompt is a request, not a guarantee that the generator will produce a clip of exactly that length. You may need to adjust the scene or movement and try again, and you should always watch the finished clip before publishing it.
